Ten on Tuesday

1. We survived Tropical Storm Lee. I think it was a Tropical Storm, truthfully, I’m not even sure. To me, it was just an excuse to stay home all weekend and wear pajamas, and. it. was. AWESOME!

2. During this time at home we replenished all our goodies. I don’t know if anyone cares about the muffins,

but more of their favorite cookies and suddenly everyone is looking at me with love.3. We also cooked a ton of food, and now have random leftovers to hold us over during the week. Seriously, there may even be some shrimp and grits in there for breakfast! We meant business.4. Today, I was still whipping up random things and I decided to make this infused water recipe from Pinterest. It looks pretty, but I’m not sure how it’s going to taste. I’ll let ya know!5. Another joy of our weekend has to be the school projects. They are EVERYWHERE. One is a family project. Don’t you love those???Jackson is almost finished, and Christian is all done. Aren’t projects FUN!?6. The boys went to Uncle David’s to hunt this weekend. They go every Labor Day weekend and always have a great time. I don’t have any pictures but I did get some awesome video of Christian killing things. I’d share it, but he’s killing things, and it’s just so real. I couldn’t even say at the end that no doves were harmed in the making of the video, because they so were.

7. While the boys were gone, Donna and I took Mom and Dad out for Mom’s birthday. We went to Porter Street Bistro and I ate everyone’s food. I laughed until I cried and after a really long trip to Wal-Mart, I came home and watched crappy movies. Good night!

8. When the boys finally got home the next day they were whipped, and the storm was getting good. Scott went to Mam Maw’s surprise birthday party and we stayed here. The power went out, so we lit candles and waited. The boys suddenly weren’t so exhausted and felt that it would now be a good time to have a nerf war. Lit candles everywhere, running, styrofoam bullets flying through the the dark rooms, oh yeah, awesome idea! I shut that down quick. They tried to convince me a light-sabre fight would be safe. I had to explain slowly with all eyes on my candle-lit face that if they burned the house down I was going to be pissed.

9. Scott took both boys to get haircuts after school today. I’ll try to get visuals tomorrow.

10. They ended Tuesday with strawberries and fingers dipped in chocolate. Isn’t that how every Tuesday should end?
