Deebo and His Girlfriend

Moxie is the only dog that I think really likes Deebo. Could be because she is still a puppy, too, and his annoying ass antics don’t phase her. She never puts up with his crap and they can run for hours. Seriously. I’ve seen it.It looks mean, but I promise, it’s love. Here comes Jackson…Deebo’s not far behind…and Moxie bringing up the rear.Fergie even gets involved. She’s not too sure about Moxie yet, but only because Moxie tries to pet her and Fergie doesn’t know what to do with that. It’s almost like seeing Lulu and Capone running around out in the front yard, except younger… and more spastic, and possibly with a higher danger factor to bystanders. That one is on Deebo, though. Moxie is a lady.

Happy 80th

Mammaw turned 80 this month and they had a family surprise party for her. I wish I had a picture of her coming in, because she really was surprised. When she focused in on her sister Glenda, and realized she had made the drive down, she was downright shocked!Happy birthday, Mammaw! We love you!

Rising from the Ashes

One of the most iconic places in the Florida panhandle is the Red Bar. I attempted to paint a picture of their famous door a few years ago for Christian. When it burned down in 2019, I really never thought it would be the same. I was wrong. They have rebuilt and reopened, and are as cool and weird as ever. When we were down there for Mom’s birthday earlier in the month, we swung by there so I could get a picture. Brian Hand is the artist behind the door, and I absolutely love it. Looks like I need to get started on a new watercolor attempt, although I need to take another picture and this time, maybe I will move the garbage can.

Are You Ready?!?!

Jackson has applied to exactly one college. I know he intends to do more, but look which one is first!!! They have changed the way they do acceptance letters, and I don’t like it. Trust me when I say, they don’t care. Used to, they sent you a letter with a Certificate of Admission. It made it clear that you were accepted, but you hadn’t made your choice yet. Ole Miss sent an email telling Jackson he was accepted, then he got a letter with this a few days later. And while I’m so proud that Ole Miss got the first shout out, slow down guys. Let’s not jump on board with the Ole Miss bound just yet. Nothing is official, and we don’t want to jinx it. Don’t worry Jackson, you know you can go wherever your heart desires and I’ll be on board. I do miss the Certificates of Acceptance! Oh well, he was accepted, and I’m so very proud. Hotty Toddy!!!!

Christian Snaps and a Flashback Friday

Snapchat is our main form of communication. Sure, we have FaceTime, phone calls and texts, but I usually get a Snap or two a day. Since they are the only current pictures I have of him, I’m sharing them. The first pic was right after he got back to school and classes hadn’t started. He was playing golf. Next, I requested a first day of school picture, and this is what I got. I’m not complaining!I don’t know what this was about, but I like it.Classes started…Here he is with Landon…He’s at a rush event and looks like he’s ready to go.Here is Landon, again.I would love to be able to still check him out!!! Here he is at a game and ran into a hometown friend that he’s known since preschool! And last, here he is with his crazy roommates. I think they have a pretty good time!Oh, and because it’s Friday, and there’s a little chill in the air, let’s take it back a few years. No matter how old he gets, I still see this…
