Happily Worn Out

20080619_3534My boys have the best Dad in the world. How many Dads do you know that will take not only their 8 year old son to play golf, but their 4 year old, too. He’s a brave, brave man, and we are lucky to have him. Jackson was so excited about going this morning that when he saw Christian walking into the garage he started crying. When I asked him what was wrong he told me, “Dey are leaving me!” I convinced him that they weren’t leaving him, dried up some tears, and continued coaxing him to finish his oatmeal. Scott said they had a blast, and Jackson asked after every hole, “It’s not time to go yet, is it?!”
20080619_3518All this golfing gave me plenty of time to pre-register for my surgery tomorrow and run a couple errands. Sadly, I am looking forward to being cut on to remove this horrible pain causing thing called a gall-bladder. They can’t get this sucker out fast enough. The boys are off to Mawmaw and Pawpaw’s tonight so we don’t have to wake them up at 6:30 tomorrow morning. Scott will spend our 10th anniversary in a waiting room and then taking care of me the rest of the day. Did I mention what a good guy he is? Well, he is, and I should.
20080619_3522Golf is a very, very hard thing, which results in a little grumpiness, and a desire to sleep. I assume this is true since all three of my golfers have either been asleep, complaining, or laying around all afternoon. If they had stomach aches so bad they had to cry just a little, I’d think it wasn’t my gall-bladder after all, but golf that was causing me so much trouble. Haven’t heard anyone mention any stomach problems, so I’m proceeding with the surgery as planned.20080619_3553 20080619_3554
