The really good part of having Christian midway from OS to Sandestin, is wherever we are, he can easily come visit. We sure will miss him when he moves!

The only thing that makes me like the winter more than having Christmas break with the boys, is Scott’s beard. I know that shaving signifies the end of hunting season, and while he is probably sad about that, he is never sad to shave. I, on the other hand, am slightly devastated. Luckily, hunting season come once a year, so I know it will be back.
After Christmas, Christian headed back to work, but Jackson still had a few more weeks at home. We had to visit Sandestin at least once. Why am I so obsessed with Scott’s hunting beard???
Since we got Scott new recliners, we had to move the Christmas morning spot to the couch. It was not without debate and mild disappointment. I think it’s fine. It was a little chilly, and Deebo, like the Ridgeback before, loves him a fire.We were so happy to have both boys at home at the same time. And, I think they loved their gifts.Christian got lots of grown-up on your own thingys, and Jackson got the frat boy starter pack.We just sat around soaking up some of the last Christmas mornings like this when our house is still home and the Core 4 are still together.
I haven’t been painting at all lately, but I knew Jackson would be initiated in to his fraternity soon and I had promised that when he did, he would have a Colonel to mark the occasion. I was a little early, but I got him ready in time for Christmas.
