In the spirit of putting my best foot forward, I’ll start out with my favorite. I tried taking pictures of the stars in the night sky for the first time. I wasn’t really sure what I was doing, but I figured out a few things. The earth is always turning, so long exposures lead to blurry stars. Oh well. Like them anyway. Scott has to turn off his phone while I do this or you will see the light.
I’m not a fan of pictures of just stars. There has to be a tree, or part of my roof, or something for a point of reference. I think it’s because I’m scared of the open night sky. It’s like open water and if you aren’t a little afraid, you aren’t truly thinking about it.If your capture a shooting star during a longer exposure, which I did a couple times, hopefully you have your ISO bumped and you aperture on the low side or you won’t really see it. Oops. Oh, and planes look cool as they cross the sky.Last but not least, it’s bluer towards the horizon, and buildings that I love are a fantastic way to ground my photo. The end!
