They DO Exist

While I was pregnant, I didn’t have the thousands of my usual crazy symptoms and cravings, which in retrospect makes sense. In fact, I only had two, one was that the smell of Lobster almost pushed me over the edge, and two, I could NOT get enough fruit. I mean I love fruit on a regular day, but during this time I ate fruit every day, all day long. We were in Destin, and while at Publix I found some plum-cots, which apparently, I love. I loaded up and devoured the whole bag that afternoon. I spent the next week looking for more and making everyone else look, too. I tried to explain what they looked like… shaped like plums, but real speckled and lighter colored, a bit like dinosaur eggs. Everyone kept bringing me plums. Mom found some plums that were called dinosaur egg pluots, but they were still the dark plums with tiny speckles. They were good and I ate them, but they weren’t plum-cots. Scott swore that I made them up, and until today I couldn’t prove him wrong. God bless Rouse’s! They have plum-cots!!! I couldn’t get home fast enough, not only to show Scott, but also to eat one. My find was bittersweet. It was good, and I will eat the whole bag, but it turns out that the plum-cot craze was in fact a crazy craving. I’ll probably only eat two a day instead of 12. At least I’ll have this picture for reference in case I ever need them again.
