Sometimes the Circle of Life is so Sad

I always say I’m not into wildlife photography or landscapes, yet, every time I have the opportunity to take pictures of animals or sunsets, I get downright giddy. Scott and I were breaking in the new ATV a couple weeks ago, and we ran across this hawk in our backyard. He was so busy eating, at first he didn’t even pay attention to us. I ran back to the house and grabbed my camera. I came back, inching closer and closer, until I was about 10 yards from him. Finally, he took notice and stared right at me as if to say, “UM, HELLO, I’m eating!”I wasn’t sure what was for dinner, but as he snatched it up to leave I caught a glimpse of the poor little faceless squirrell.I did feel bad for him, but watching and taking pictures of the hawk was just awesome. Maybe I’ll add extremely amatuer wildlife photographer to my list. Who knew?
