I always say I’m not into wildlife photography or landscapes, yet, every time I have the opportunity to take pictures of animals or sunsets, I get downright giddy. Scott and I were breaking in the new ATV a couple weeks ago, and we ran across this hawk in our backyard. He was so busy eating, at first he didn’t even pay attention to us. I ran back to the house and grabbed my camera. I came back, inching closer and closer, until I was about 10 yards from him. Finally, he took notice and stared right at me as if to say, “UM, HELLO, I’m eating!”
I wasn’t sure what was for dinner, but as he snatched it up to leave I caught a glimpse of the poor little faceless squirrell.
I did feel bad for him, but watching and taking pictures of the hawk was just awesome.
Maybe I’ll add extremely amatuer wildlife photographer to my list. Who knew?
