So Happy to be Included

When we hop on the golf cart in the afternoons and ask Fergie to come, she straight up loses her mind. She whines with pure excitement for the first 10 minutes of riding, at least. She inches into my lap further and further, until I have to put her back between us. Otherwise, she would just step off into the wind with no thought of the consequences. When we get to our sunset spot, she can’t wait to get down and visits a few families, and you can’t call her back, because she is mostly deaf. You just have to follow along and meet new people, whether they like it or not. Then she climbs back on our cart worn out, and ready for some water or ice. She may get a second wind and do a few more visits, but she always comes back panting, and patiently waits for the ride home.I feel so bad that I haven’t taken her on every sunset cart ride we have ever made.We are making it up to her.
