As soon as Christian finishes his homework, he’s ready to go outside. Some of the time there are friends to play with, if not, he tries to recruit us.
I had to get a few football pictures. I NEVER get pictures of that, lol.
The good thing about being recruited, besides being able to hang out with him, is he lets me take some pictures, and he follows direction. No one ever follows my picture taking direction. Most of the time, I give no direction because #1, I don’t have any direction, or #2, I just want to see what happens. Other times, I want them to look at me, turn a certain way, or smile, oh wait, don’t smile that much. Not always, but sometimes it’s nice.
Jackson is too stubborn, Lulu turns toward Scott with a look that says, “Do I have to listen to this crazy woman?” Ollie can’t even hear me, and Scott… I don’t even try. This little man, he’s different. If I say look this way for a minute, he actually does. Christian lets me turn him different directions and find the good light. He asks questions about what I’m looking for and knows what I’m talking about when I say sun flare. He even comes over later to look at my camera and asks questions about why I do or don’t like different pictures and gives his opinion. I’m not sure if he honestly has interest in it, or if he’s just trying to make me happy. Either way, it’s just another of the endless examples of how sweet this kid is, and I really love that about him.
