Flashing back to the 80’s for 3rd grade field day at Eastlawn Elementary. Apparently having a kick-ass stance for speed runs in our family, and while I should probably be embarrassed of my ready, set, 40 yard stance situation, I noticed a few things about this day… First off, that’s my best friend standing next to me and I missed the tube sock memo. Second, I was fearless, and could care less what anyone thought of my jacked up hair, blue snowball face, or my getting ready posture. Last, I had a huge crush on a boy who didn’t know I existed this year, and I never said a word about it. I also never thought he looked my way, but here he is, in his Mickey Mouse t-shirt glory watching my 40 yard dash performance. I’m going to pretend like he liked me, too, instead of what is probably really going on. More than likely, he is wondering if this spastic blue mouth girl is about to have a seizure. I better include some flashes back to Jackson following in his Momma’s footsteps. Seriously, we are sights to behold!
They spent almost every minute together for the few weeks before this picture was taken, so when Jackson went back to school after the Christmas holidays, he was missed by more than just Scott and me.
I love it when we are all home!
And trust me, it isn’t for the camouflage! Who knew that I would be obsessed with this huge bushy beard that he hates so much. It was me. I knew.
For New Years we made a huge fire and blew stuff up! Good times, good times! My shoes may or may not have ended up in that fire.
