We Finally Made It

It’s Christmas morning, and with a grown man and a teenager to wait for, it gets later and later.Scott and I were just waiting and waiting…Until we started loudly Ho, Ho, Ho-ing! That did the trick.Christian got his beloved flannels, and Jackson got his long awaited lace-up boots. There were some bigger presents outside. Jackson finally got his weight equipment he had always wanted but wouldn’t ask for,and Christian got his fire pit and speakers for his apartment. I feel a party coming on.As always, the best gift is the Sports Illustrated calendar. Later that afternoon, Jackson and Shelby exchanged gifts. And finally, we ended the afternoon with a W for our Saints, and watching it with Daddy, followed by a game night and leftovers. That’s what I call a perfect day!

Finally Christmas Eve

For some reason, I don’t take many pictures on Christmas Eve. Maybe it’s because I’m busy, or maybe I’m just in the moment. If we are really being honest, it’s probably because I’m somewhere cooking or eating. Here are a some random shots. We opened a few gifts at home, and Scott got a cool light bar for his side by side. We headed to Mawmaw and Pawpaws next. They made the kids a scavenger hunt for their gifts like they used to do for them when they were little. They still got it!We still had dinner at Mom’s, but it was a little smaller group than usual. Richard brought Mawmaw Tuck so I took a couple of them, then, I was distracted by gumbo.

Mawmaw & Pawpaw

I always take pictures of Momma’s Christmas decorations. This year I made them get in one with their tree just like I used to do with the boys. Might be my new favorite picture!

Still Momma’s Baby

So, we banned Deebo from the furniture, but I think he figured out a way around it. If he jumps up and hugs me and really pushes his chest in there and means it, he just gets lots of snuggles and loves. He hugged me so long I got Jackson to take pictures.

Christmas in the Village

I know you are wondering why it’s February and I am still going on about Christmas, well, it’s because I’m always behind. You will get used to it. Baytown set up a perfect picture opportunity for the kids, and even though my kids are almost grown, I needed them to do this for me. They were ready and willing. So worth it!Where was this set up when I was having trouble with Christmas card inspiration???
