He Wants to Swim So Bad

I’ve been trying to bribe Deebo to get in the pool. I give him treats, and he now will get in the first step. When the guys jump in and swim, I can tell how bad he wants to help, or save them, but he’s still too scared. Maybe by next year!

Jackson’s First Trip Offshore

I’m not positive, but I think this was Jackson’s first trip offshore. The seas were perfect, the fishing was good, and looks like the fellowship, as Daddy Dan always called it, was top notch. What more could we ask for?

If he hadn’t already been bitten by the fishing bug, this would have done him in.

Now it’s time for a little filleting education…

Learning from the best…

I don’t know who loves this more…

Back in Mississippi

At this point, we were back in Mississippi. We had one kid back in school and one getting ready to leave. There wasn’t a golf course in the back yard, or sunsets at the bay. Everyone was busy, and I still needed things to photograph. Bugs it is!

Jackson’s Last First Day

Well, here we are, Jackson’s first day of his senior year. You know, Jackson has never been late for school. We’ve never overslept, or missed the bus or anything like that. Jackson’s truck was in the shop, so he opted to ride with his friend. We came outside to wait for him and I was taking pictures. We even did a backpack shot, although this is his old backpack, so nothing to really see here.It got later and later, and he was texting his friend to see if he was coming. We offered to drive him, but the idea of arriving for his senior year with Mom and Dad wasn’t too appealing. The time had passed to be on time. It was the first day, and it’s always chaos. You have to leave extra early to be on time, and it was already extra late.

Finally, they made it. Deebo watched one of his favorites leave for the day, just like Lulu used to do.

So, for the first time, in years and years of schooling, Jackson was late. On his first day. Of his senior year… It was no big deal, so were about half of the other kids at the school. They didn’t do anything about it but send them all to class with no consequences. We just aren’t late people, we are 15 to 30 minutes early people. Although I know he appreciated the rides, he was so happy to have his truck back a couple days later. He loves his truck, but mostly I think he likes being in control of his own comings and goings.

Christian and Grant Fishing

Scott took us out trolling. Grant had never really caught a fish out there, and I hadn’t taken many fishing pictures, so Scott made it happen.

There may not have been many fish caught that we kept, but sometimes the fun is in the catching…
