Jackson’s 18th Birthday, How it Started

If you haven’t noticed, we’ve been celebrating Jackson a lot around here, and after it was all over, he turned 18! It started how it usually does, waking up in Sandestin with the banner, presents that he specifically asked for and I swore I couldn’t get, and lots of hugs.

Most importantly, he got the wireless headphones he asked for. Pretty sure he hasn’t taken them off since.

Daddy hooked him up with Parlor Doughnuts for breakfast, and trust me when I say, that’s a treat. Can you tell?He requested Tommy Bahama for lunch, and opted to sit outside. Keep in mind, it’s June, and I’m 49. They did have these mister things to keep me from dying. By the end of it, I was red faced, covered in sweat, and my hair had frizzed into tiny little clumps all around my head. But, oh, was the food awesome. So far, it’s been an eventful birthday! And I so love this crew!

Flashback Friday A Graduate and Grandparents

Jackson went down to Mawmaw & Pawpaws to show them all his graduation attire. Notice he’s missing some cords and a tassel. No matter, they were still utterly impressed. There’s nothing quite like having your grandparents right down the road. And I thought I might flash back to 1991 to another graduate with her grandparents, and Lindsay. Can’t forget Lindsay!

Belated Graduation Party

Jackson opted to have a crawfish boil to celebrate his big day. It took him awhile to decide if and then when he wanted to do it, so it ended up being a week after graduation. Folks dropped in all day, grazing, swimming, taking pictures. It was such a good laid back Taylor finish to the whole whirlwind of festivities. I missed getting pictures of everyone by breaking the camera out a little late, but I see Lindsay, Connor, Cade, and Taylor up there. Uncle Chad is somewhere in the mix, too.I got some pics of Mammaw with most of her grandsons. We got a pics with Deedy and Mawmaw and Pawpaw.Gary and Gaylene came by.

And Wyatt was there with bells on!

The boys practiced their Dirty Dancing moves.Taylor and Christian did it best. Hey Colleen!!Adrian even came by for a swim!Deebo wanted to make sure that Adrian didn’t stay too dry.Mission accomplished!Brady and Cade, taking it easy…Moxie even came over to wish Jackson well.Willem and Kirb, in the crawfish to the bitter end. Don’t blame them at all.

Home For a Bit

I know it’s only temporary, but this kid is home while he looks for a job. He cleaned up nice for his brother’s graduation. It’s occasionally frustrating, but mostly awesome to have him for just a minute before he flies the coop. Never a dull moment.
