Heading into Sophomore Year

It’s hard to believe I have a 10th grader on my hands. It’s also hard to believe that he actually turned around a little when I asked for a backpack shot, lol!!!If you know us, you know we are ALWAYS early. The kids have never been late to school, they’ve never missed the bus, and they’ve never even come close to either of those things. We have had the same bus, same bus driver, and same bus times for years so we didn’t check the bus times. Turns out they changed it a bit. We got there at our regular time, early, and the bus was closing it’s door to leave. Luckily a mom stopped them for us for Jackson to scramble up there. Such a rookie mistake and I still can’t believe we didn’t check. Oh well, we’ve adjusted our routine and are now early again.

Back in Mississippi

We finally made it back home, and what better place to be than out on the boat?! We watched this cloud drain from a distance. It’s hard to complain about coming home, when this is what you come home to. My pelican friends swooped by to say hi!We are enjoying our last few days with this weirdo!Luckily this sweet captain has a few more years!More of my boat trip to come…

Our Last Day in Sandestin

Christian has an obsession with those Callaway soccer golf balls, so our last golf cart ride of the summer was spent looking for them. He gets so excited when he finds one, although I think this is actually one that he lost while playing!Jackson thought that was funny. This is how I feel about summer being over, too!
