Not to Brag or Anything

Well, 5th grade is officially over and I know Jackson would agree, I am going to miss his awesome teachers. I seriously love these ladies and can only hope that 6th grade will be half as good. Ok, now, if you don’t want to hear a Momma go on and on bragging about her child and his achievements, run away now. Seriously, it’s going to be pretty bad. Awards day was Thursday, and my man racked up! Every time they would announce a new award and explain what it was, all the kids would start saying, “It’s Jackson! Jackson is going to win this one.” And well, he usually did.
He may have looked a little embarrassed each time he was walking up, but his dad and I were beaming with pride, and if I’m honest, I did get a little misty-eyed.
He ended up with six awards, and the ones that surprised him the most were P. E. and Health. He won for highest average for the year in three classes, Language, Math and Science. He narrowly missed Social Studies, but still was high enough that he got one for Natural Historian. Last but not least, he won both awards for P.E. and Health. Way to go Jackson!!! Your first awards season was a huge success. I really am so very proud.
