I take lots of pictures, seriously, thousands. So, I guess it’s kind of strange that we only have a few 5×7’s and 4×6’s scattered around our home. I have a digital frame that has a bunch on rotation, but otherwise, not so much. I decided it was time to remedy that. We’ve always had these very pretty, extremely boring pictures above our fireplace that matched the furniture perfectly. I liked them, but they held absolutely no meaning for me. They weren’t fancy or anything, but something about them felt formal, and if you know us, we are so far removed from formal that I’m not sure how to achieve it when asked. I got a fantastic idea from another blogger to do a wall 0′ canvas. I don’t take many portraits, so snapshots had to be mixed in, which went along with the anti-formal vibe. This is what I came up with. I was so nervous ordering my pictures big and on canvas, but I’m so glad I did. It may not match the room perfectly, but I love the laid back look of it. It just screams us, doesn’t it? It is, after all, us, so it was hard to mess that part up! Now, I just have to do something about that stupid fire screen. I think it went with the old pictures…
