The boys got new shoes. Jackson went from velcro to laces, and now he’s on a mission. I’ve been trying to help, but he wants to do it himself. It’s not going well. I can remember being little and getting so frustrated trying to learn to tie my shoes I wanted to fling myself on the floor and cry. We are in the flinging stage now, but no tears just yet. When he was laying on the floor hiding his face, I thought he’d given up, but after awhile he came outside and tried again. He still didn’t quite get it, and he’s not all that jazzed about it.But, I have no doubt that he’ll give it another go tomorrow. Does this look like someone who is going to let those laces beat him? They may make him cry eventually, but I have a feeling my baby won’t give up. He’s kinda cool like that.
