Give it up

20080417-(1)w I am one of those people that carries their camera with them when they go to the bathroom, and that is only a small exaggeration. My kids have had a lens thrust in their faces from birth. Who knows what kind of damage I’m inflicting, but I’ll let them work that out in therapy when they grow up. My 8 year old is much more cooperative with directions, and other than the fake smile he sometimes gives, he is the perfect model. My three year old, Jackson, much to his dismay, is more available, but much less cooperative. He has this ridiculous popeye looking smile he does that will totally crack you up. That is a toned down version you see above. I really believe he thinks it’s the perfect picture smile. It is so not! I’ve learned a few strategies over time. Follow him around and talk to him. He’s bound to forget about the camera for a second and wipe the smirk off his face. My other strategy is to wait for him to be so tired he just gives up. That’s just the way I roll…20080417 (2)20080417 (3)
