I saw another sunrise this morning, dammit! It was beautiful… blah, blah, blah. I can’t quite figure out sun flare, so I’m working on it. Lucky for me, I was up. I’m only kidding mom, it really was pretty, and I’m sorry I cuss. Love you. Happy Mother’s Day!!
Today was busy. Got Christian ready, and he left. Got Jackson ready, took him to school. Went to Wal-mart. No, I don’t want to talk about it. Too many people in my personal space. Came home to unload. Headed back out to buy some gardening stuff. Picked up Jackson. Stopped back by the grocery store, AGAIN. Came home, unloaded AGAIN. Made 3 pies for Mother’s Day. Planted all the plants I bought. Went to the bus stop to pick up Christian. Raced up to the doctor’s office to re-check his ears. Came back home and here I am.
I did manage to get Christian to let me take a couple pictures when we got back. He didn’t want to do it, I could tell, but he’s being super sweet right now because Mother’s Day is this weekend. He even gave me his seat in the doctor’s office, in honor of my day and all. I’m also banned from looking in his backpack until Sunday, so who knows what’s in store for me. He’s such a sweet kid when he wants to be, which is honestly most of the time.
Don’tcha just love all that blonde hair? His baseball team kids him about his “flowing mane”, not that he minds. He hates getting it cut and wants to let it grow for pretty much ever. I’m a hippy at heart, so I’m with him. Unfortunately, his dad can’t stand it in his eyes so he just wants it trimmed out of them. I try to explain the dangers of a mullet, but it falls on deaf ears. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have a problem with mullets. Thank goodness, I do. I guess we’ll be visiting Ms. Laura in the next week or so. I’ll miss the flowing mane, but I know it’ll be back soon.
Quick note to Lindsay: Happy Birthday yesterday. Try not to fall out today. I hope more strangers sing to you in foreign languages and make you wear hats and dance!! Glad you had a good day! Oh, and thank you for the card. It was so so sweet! –love, christi
