This year Jackson got to get up at 5:45 instead of 5:30, and it wasn’t completely dark by the time we made it outside for a few pictures. I think we are past the backpack pictures, so there will not be a serious one because, I don’t know if you heard, we are in the 6th grade now!
At least there was a smile, an eyes-closed one, but it will do!New shirt, new shoes, and we are ready!Everybody should have a zombie surfer shirt. It’s cool. The bus was supposed to get here at 3:05. At 3:10 they were still loading up kindergarteners at a different school. It wasn’t looking good. An hour and a half after my kid got out of school, the bus rolled up. Keep in mind that busses do NOT have air conditioning. If I left my kid in a car for an hour and a half with a window or two down I would be arrested. Just sayin’!Let’s just hope that this was because of the first day chaos. I have my doubts, but we will see. I see a smile, so it’s looking good!He made a bee-line to the air-conditioned car.He even left Dad behind. He said his day was a-ight, and in Jackson speak, that’s all you can hope for!
