I was going to post these yesterday, but after a full day at the stadium, and a full night at the baseball field, I was too tired. Field day started off foggy and a little chilly. It didn’t seem to phase anyone. It was Jackson’s first Field Day and he went wide open for 2 hours running, swinging, wiggling, pushing, jumping, and pulling. I really thought it was going to be the best day of his Kindergarten career, but they are hunting eggs tomorrow, so I don’t know. We got Jackson a check out and came back to the field for Christian’s day. They start out with some friendly competition before the serious games started. This was the only time Jackson showed any signs of slowing down. It passed. Christian has the best class and his teacher is awesome. She danced through most of Field Day. Did I mention that I love her?? The 3rd and 4th graders always have class races before Field Day to determine who runs in what race. The fastest runs the 100 yard dash, the 2nd runs the 75 and so on. Christian won first in his class, so he got the 100 again this year. He was really excited that he won, but he also knew it meant the same thing it did last year, he had to run against his friends Ethan and Adam, and the other fastest kids in the school. Ethan left them all in the dust again, but Christian came in 3rd. He was fine with that, felt like 1st. I guess being the 3rd fastest boy in your school on this day is worth being happy about. Then, he totally forgot about it and went to play with all his friends. Good day.
