Day 1 With Big Blue

The first thing I learned out there is Blue is heavy, but amazingly, she floats. I tried balancing her on a boogie board, putting it on Auto, and shooting away. I was intimidated. I was worried that I made a mistake with this purchase. I struggled with the waves, trying to balance, lack of control, and water spots. I just knew I wasn’t getting anything good. Then I got home and loaded everything to my computer…And I was in love. Who cares that I took 300 pictures. Sure, only 15 were really keepers. Those 15 were enough.I used to be intimidated by my DSLR, and look how that turned out. It’ll be ok!It may not happen overnight, but I’m going to rock this underwater housing.
This is sort of a screw up. I have water all over my lens, and I’m trying to shoot into the sun. It’s a mess. A beautiful, beautiful mess!My boys, and the ocean, it just doesn’t get any better than that!I like all kinds of photography, seriously, I haven’t found much I don’t like to shoot, but this may be my favorite. I found my jam. Now, I just have to get better.
