Blackberry Picking Distraction

My boys love to have a purpose, a goal. Yesterday, it was blackberries. We have them in our ditch, but they needed to branch out a little farther, so we went over to one of the empty lots in our neighborhood and found an even better spot. They were everywhere. Jackson would just put his hands on his hips and observe the abundance of blackberries with a smile. There was no way we could ever pick all those berries, but we decided to look elsewhere. We are an easily distracted bunch. We rode over to another lot and found another hot spot. Unfortunately, there was water, too… huge distraction. I didn’t think they would find any blackberries out there, but they had a new goal in mind. I’m not really sure what that goal was, but involved playing in the water. No worries though, I think we have enough for a cobbler, so we’ll see how that turns out for us. Although, I can’t promise. I’m easily distracted, too.
