Spring Break in April is so much better than when it’s in March. Usually, it’s warm enough to hit the pool and the beach. It was still pretty chilly, but the boys barely noticed. These first pictures were taken at the beach in Sandestin, and with a point and shoot. The beach was slammed, but the water was cool enough, that they had a little wiggle room. A few days later we headed out to Grayton with our Kentucky friends for a beach day. The water was gorgeous, but the boys spent most of their time in the lagoon.Jackson gave me 20 seconds for a beach picture, no one else had time.
The boys have always loved the lagoon. It is much warmer, but the water is more brown than blue. That never phases them. We had a lot of rain the two days before this, and the lagoon started washing away the beach. What began as just a trickle, quickly turned into a flood and the beach completely washed away. All that brown bayou water started gushing into the pristine Grayton waters, and it looked like an oil spill. The upside is that it created these really cool rapids that everyone had to ride out to sea. Well, not everyone, I stayed on the beach with my camera. The water was washing out so fast, you really had to be careful not to be taken out into the Gulf.
Scott had to hold on to Jackson pretty tight.Christian and the other Jackson couldn’t get enough.Scott was still trying to get Jackson up and out.Life is truly better at the beach, no matter the color of the water!
