Every year for the past four years, Christian has gone up to Mr. Tom’s place and participated in his fishing tournament. He looks forward to it every year and always has a blast. The first year, he was six, and we were shocked and jazzed when he brought home the Most Bream trophy. He was only six, ya know?? The next year, we were not as shocked but just as jazzed, when he again brought home the trophy. The third year, we tried to prepare him that you can’t win every year, just in case, and hoped he wouldn’t be disappointed if things went down different that time. He brought home another trophy beating out a couple professionals I’m told. This year, although I did mention to Christian that no matter how awesome he was, not winning was still a remote possibility, I really wanted to call Mr. Tom up and suggest he just go ahead and engrave the trophy with my baby’s name, since this kid just cannot be beat! I didn’t, for fear of jinxing my bream fishing rock-star and because, well, that would just be wrong, but apparently I could have, lol. So, it’s official, Christian brought home another trophy. I guess he really is a bream fishin’ rock-star!
Ya know, when I started this blog, my first entry was done while Christian was off winning his third trophy at Mr. Tom’s place. Has it really been a year? Time flies while you watch your kids grow up. Scott and Christian were only gone a day, but I wasn’t the only one who missed them! Congratulations Christian! We are glad y’all are back.
P.S. Just a quick message to Mr. Tom’s girls, in case they read this, y’all work for a really cool guy. If you get a chance, tell him thanks for making my kid’s year, the last four of them to be exact!
