My three boys made me a special gift this year. They loaded up for a Lowe’s trip and each picked out some flowers. Scott chose the big ones. He’s all about the blooms. Christian picked out the yellowish-white ones because he knows I have this thing about yellow, and there HAD to be yellow. Is that sweet or what?? Jackson picked out the funky ones because, well, he’s kinda funky. They planted them and gave them to me Sunday morning with some awesome handmade cards. It was perfect. I’ve warned them that the prettier they are, the quicker I kill them, but I’m going to do my best to keep them alive.
We had our usual family cookout and afternoon swim-fest. We ate too much, visited, and wore the kids out swimming. I love days like that.
Jackson had on his cool Mom tattoo shirt, which I love, and the boots and sunglasses are always a nice touch. Told ya he was funky.
Just when I thought they were about to fall asleep on the couch, they got their second wind. Normally, I could do without made up holidays, but with a day like this, I may have to re-think that.
