We are getting ready for Easter, and we can’t do that without dyeing eggs. We always set up in my kitchen and the light is yucky in there. It makes everyone look kind of yellow-beige. I tried to fix it, and it’s a little better, but the color is still a little off. Just imagine normal skin-tones, okay? Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw came to help. We followed all the instructions for the tablets and left the eggs in the dye forever. They came out pale as can be. Christian and I decided to try a different approach. We added the vinegar, but not the water and just rolled the eggs around until they were done. Our eggs were so much brighter after that! It may all wash off tomorrow, but today it was a success!
Why is it that I’m always way more into doing this sort of thing than the rest of the adults?? I’m the same way with Christmas cookies?? I don’t know…Paw-Paw gets into it once we get him started. Maw-Maw is almost as bad as me, but not quite.
The boys had a great time, as did the adults. We officially have 5 dozen eggs, that other than getting hid a few times, will be completely wasted. That is, unless Lulu or Ollie finds them first!
