Downtown Field Trip

Jackson went on his very first Kindergarten field trip with all his buddies, and me. We walked all over downtown Ocean Springs starting at the library, then to City Hall, the bank, the ice cream store, offices, and the toy store, and all during Cruisin’ the Coast, so we got to see lots of old cars on the way. When the kids went to City Hall, the mayor let them sit in the Alderman’s chairs and talk on their microphones. It was pretty cool.Last, but certainly not least, we went to the park and had a picnic. It was his favorite part of the day, although the ice cream testing was a close second.I have never sweat so much in my life. I’m not sure if it was the heat and humidity, the antibiotics I’m taking, or doing too much too soon, but we came home tired and soaking wet. Our first field trip left us both needing a nap and a shower. What more can you ask for?
