The first year we got our pool, we got in it immediately. It was March. It was cold. We didn’t care. The second year we got in it around April. The third year we got in around May. Looks like May is the perfect time. We may have dipped our toes in a few times last month, but full force swimming is ideal for May. Jackson fell in a couple weeks ago when Christian was swimming and after that he didn’t want to do it again, ever. We convinced him yesterday that he could touch in the shallow end, and it was ok. Christian walked him all over holding his hand until he was comfortable. I’m glad, because it would have been an awful long summer for him if he hated the water, but just as I suspected, just like Christian, he’s a water boy, too.
