We went to Sand Island yesterday, and it was the most perfect day for a boat trip. Deedy & Uncle Glenn came with us and I even brought my camera, which I never do. I love going to Sand Island during the week. There isn’t a boat for miles and it feels like a deserted island. That’s right up my alley.
We walked all over, finding shells, digging for sand dollars and catching crabs.
Jackson gives the whole experience a “thumbs-up!”
Christian even let me take a picture by the sea oats. I love sea oats. I need more pictures of them.By the ride home, the boys are always worn out. Sun and sand really takes it out of them. Come to think of it, sun and sand takes it out of all of us. We had such a good time, though. Uncle Glenn never got to go with us before, so that was cool, and Deedy has been pretty busy this summer, so it was good to get to hang out with her all day. You’d think that after a long day like this we’d all go home and crash, but NO! Not us! We went over to Uncle Chad’s and Aunt Kristie’s to celebrate Chad’s birthday. In honor of Chad’s day, the boys slipped and slided until they could take it no more, and we ate all their food. I don’t know about y’all, but this was one of my best days all summer. Happy Birthday Uncle Chad!!!
