Lately, we’ve been playing baseball in the front yard a lot. Christian has decided he likes pitching and wants to do it all the time. Jackson doesn’t want to be left out. He’s not a pitcher, yet, but oh, how he loves to hit. When he realizes that it is his turn to hit he gets in his stance. Scott goes over it with him. “Got your bat up? Hands together? Choke up a little. Okay, put your game face on.” This is what we get.
Is a game face supposed to make you want to kiss his face off? I don’t think so. I don’t want him to stop doing it, so I just won’t tell him. Right before the ball comes he loses his game face and his whole face lights up with glee. I know glee sounds silly, but it’s the only word I can think of that fully describes it. Enchantment maybe? Nope, GLEE. At first he would be a couple minutes late with his swing, but lately, he’s really hitting it.
Uh-oh, looks like we have another baseball player on our hands.
