The 2nd Grade Musical is about recycling and saving the Earth. Jackson could care less about musicals, but that doesn’t mean we don’t drop everything and rush up to the school for every performance. He said he wasn’t going to sing, but he did, and I was so glad!
When the morning performance was over, he started begging us for a checkout from the stage. Um, not happening. It was 9:00 in the morning!I bought a $5 green and blue shirt from Wal-Mart for the evening performance. He makes $5 look awesome, doesn’t he?The late program was the same night as the Art show, so we left a little early so I could go take a look at his artistic endeavors. They pick their favorite art project from the year and display them in front of their classroom. His was fantastic! The evening performance was much more crowded. A big group of parents came up and stood right in front of all the parents lined up against the back wall. I guess they were running out of options, but still.
The kids were so cute, as usual, and we all thought a little more about saving our planet.Jackson let me take a few snaps after we got home.He also had enough time for a little basketball! And that’s all for saving the earth. Don’t forget to recycle!
